Luxury interior furnishings group Walker Greenbank said full year pre-tax profits are expected to be materially ahead of market forecasts after a robust autumn period.The group, whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co., Harlequin and Zoffany, said, "During the past few weeks, the company's brands have achieved their highest-ever level of sales of wallpapers and fabrics."Walker Greenback said its brands have contributed to this strong sales performance, which has included a significant resurgence in its premium brand Zoffany. Its mid-market Sanderson and Harlequin brands have continued to perform particularly well.The group's wallpaper and fabric printing factories are continuing to benefit from strong order books, both from Walker Greenbank brands and from third-parties, it said.Chief executive John Sach commented: "We are delighted to have achieved record sales and profits in the past few weeks, and we continue to benefit from the success of our brands and from the positive trends in the luxury goods market." "Our continuing investment in new product launches is underpinned by our robust cash generation, further strengthening the position of our brands in the luxury interiors marketplace," he added.
