(Sharecast News) - Tungsten, tin and gold mining company W Resources updated the market on its flagship project, La Parrilla in Spain, on Thursday, reporting that the concentrator plant had commenced commissioning following the "detailed installation" of the motor control centre, including all electrical connections and associated plant completion work.
The AIM-traded firm said commissioning of the spirals and shaking tables buildings "on water" had begun, which it said was an important phase prior to feeding ore through.

Ore would be introduced into the circuit with first concentrate production from the new concentrator plant planned in September, as the company announced on 7 August.

"The commencement of commissioning of the new concentrator plant is a long-awaited event and is a major step forward for W Resources," said the company's chairman Michael Masterman.

"It is important to note that commissioning ensures a streamlined start-up of the ramp-up of tungsten and tin production.

"The crusher, and jig and mill plants are operations-ready, and we have maintained the low-cost nature of this impressive world class project by ensuring each phase is delivered to the highest standards as we prepare for first concentrate production in September."
