Vodafone looks to raise stake in Indian unit to 100 per cent

Vodafone on Tuesday asked New Delhi for authorisation to raise its stake in its local unit to 100 per cent.It would pay about 101.4bn rupees (£1.02bn) for the holding.The price for the additional 15.5% stake in Vodafone's largest business by subscribers implies an approximate £6.6bn price tag for the entire division. -- More to follow -- AB
