UPDATE: Alaska Pipeline Servicer's CEO To Retire Sept 30

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES The chief executive of Alyeska Pipeline Service Co., which operates the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, said Wednesday that he will retire Sept. 30. Kevin Hostler, an executive at BP PLC (BP, BP.LN), has been in the top spot at Alyeska since 2005, with his services essentially on loan to Alyeska from BP, a majority owner of the pipeline, said Alyeska spokeswoman Michelle Egan. In addition to BP, the pipeline is owned by ConocoPhillips (COP), Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), Chevron Corp. (CVX) and Koch Alaska Pipeline Co. In addition to retiring from Alyeska, Hostler is retiring from BP, Egan said. Before joining Alyeska, Hostler was senior vice president for BP's global human resources organization. Hostler said in a statement that he plans to retire to Texas with his wife. The pipeline owners will choose a successor.
