The Nuclear Control Systems business of FTSE 250-listed Ultra Electronics has scored a £12.9m contract from EDF Energy to manufacture and supply nuclear reactor instrumentation.Under the deal, Ultra will support the instrumentation, which will be used in EDF Energy's current UK nuclear power stations. The group said it was the second contract to benefit from its recent investment in a state-of-the-art nuclear instrumentation manufacturing facility. "I am pleased to continue supporting EDF Energy in this strategic partnership. Ultra continues to invest and grow its specialist nuclear capability and it is an example of the resilience provided through Ultra's broad portfolio of specialist capability areas," Chief Executive Rakesh Sharma said. Ultra currently supplies safety based equipment to 186 reactors in 16 countries.Shares dipped 0.21% to 1,874p early on.NR
