Ultra Electronics scores deal for door system on A350 aircraft

The Controls business of Ultra Electronics has landed a deal to design and supploy an electrical ground door opening system for the new A350 aircraft. The contract is expected to be worth more than £60m in total revenue to FTSE 250-listed Ultra. Chief Executive Rakesh Sharma said: "We are delighted to have secured this new contract with Airbus which is in recognition of Ultra's ability to understand its customer's needs and provide optimal solutions with regard to weight and functionality. "Ultra has been a supplier to Airbus for over 25 years and this award helps to firm our continuing relationship."NR
