UK Oil and Gas granted interim injunction against 'persons unknown'

(Sharecast News) - UK Oil and Gas has been granted an interim injunction against "persons unknown" who would undertake "unlawful protest activity" at the firm's exploration sites.John Male QC of the Chancery Division of the High Court provided UKOG with immediate High Court protection against anyone that would use the specified unlawful actions and breach the injunction at the AIM-listed firm's sites.UKOG was also granted injunctions in respect of its Horse Hill and Broadford Bridge assets to prohibit protesters from entering and remaining on the sites, blocking the public highway with a view to slowing down or stopping the traffic and with the intention of causing inconvenience and delay, slow-walking in front of vehicles, climbing on to vehicles, obstructing the public highway at the entrance to the sites, and intimidation and assault of the group's staff, contractors and supply chain.Judge Male also said there was "a good reason to believe the Horse Hill site is under a real and imminent threat".As of 1435 BST, UKOG shares had slipped 2.53% to 2.93p.
