Tuesday preview: US economic data in focus with GDP and consumer confidence

The market will on Tuesday have its eye on US data, including gross domestic product (GDP) and consumer confidence, to monitor the health of the world's biggest economy.US GDP is forecast to rise by an annualised 3.3% in the third quarter, compared to 3.5% previously.The index for US consumer confidence is expected to increase to 96 in November from 94.5 a month earlier.Personal spending and house price figures will also be released.The euro-area will see the release of German GDP for the third quarter while the Bundesbank unveils its Financial Stability Report and the OECD reports its economic outlook on the Eurozone.Investors are closely watching news out of the bloc amid concerns about the weak economy and low inflation. European Central Bank president Mario Draghi has said the monetary authority would consider buying government bonds if inflation remained low for too long.In the UK, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney speaks in London and a report on loans for house purchases from the British Bankers' Association (BBA) is due.Company-wise Kingfisher reports its trading statement. Numis predicts a "mixed bag" in the third quarter with group's trading profit slightly lower due to adverse moves in the euro and the Polish zloty.
