DOW JONES NEWSWIRES U.K. company Tate & Lyle PLC (TATE.LN) could sell its sugar business to American Sugar Refining Co. for nearly $300 million, the Financial Times reported late Wednesday. The paper didn't mention the source of its report on its website. An announcement could be made by this week, the report added.
