(Sharecast News) - Tate & Lyle's Chief Financial Officer Imran Nawaz has resigned from the company to become CFO of Tesco after little more than two years at the food and drinks ingredients company
Nawaz will stay at Tate & Lyle until April 2021 to finish the current financial year and support an orderly transition, the FTSE 250 company said. Tate & Lyle said it had started looking for a replacement.

He joined Tate & Lyle in August 2018 from Mondelez after a 16-year stint at Mondelez and Kraft Foods. His move will put him in one of the top jobs in UK retail.

Nick Hampton, Tate & Lyle's chief executive, said: "Imran has been an outstanding finance leader and has played an instrumental role in building the financial discipline to enable us to deliver on our strategy."
