Taihua expects the volume of its forsythia harvest to be smaller than previous years due to poor weather conditions. In a trading update on Tuesday, the pharmaceutical company said its flagship forsythia plantation had been hurt by frost during the flowering period, when "it is important that it is damp and there is no frost."As a result, the volume of the forsythia is expected to be smaller, according to the company, despite it being "too early to tell what the actual impact will be".In a previous trade update in February, the group said the increase in wholesale price of forsythia had offset the reduced harvest.Following the news, shares in Taihua fell 16.52% to 2.4p.
