(ShareCast News) - Surveillance technology group Synectics said Mike Stilwell will replace Nigel Poultney as the company's finance director.Poultney, who has held the role since 1997, will step down from the company board on 30 November, although he will continue to hold the part-time role of company secretary and will act as an advisor to the company."Nigel Poultney has demonstrated quite exceptional skill, integrity and commitment throughout his lengthy service at Synectics, and has played a substantial role in the group's growth and development over that period," said group chairman David Coghlan.In a statement released on Friday, Synectics said he will be replaced by Stilwell, currently the group's financial controller, who joined the company in 2012 and will be promoted to finance director on 1 December."Since joining the group, Mike Stilwell has taken on increasingly senior responsibilities within Synectics' finance department and across all of its operating businesses," added Coghlan."On the basis of observing his performance at first hand on a range of important issues, the board is confident he has all of the necessary capabilities to make a strong contribution."Synectics shares were down 3.03% to 160.00p at 0854 BST on Friday.
