Mineral explorer Sunrise Resources revealed positive test results from a US mining scheme, boosting its shares.Sunrise said the sampling results at its 100%-owned County Line Diatomite project in Nevada, which it bought in February this year, showed the potential for a large tonnage of diatomite.Diatomite is an aquatic algae used as a filter in making beer, liquor, wine, fats, fruit juices and solvents. Commercial diatomite can be used as industrial fillers in paint and plastics.Executive Chairman Patrick Cheetham said: "We are moving quickly with our evaluation of this deposit as we see potential for a large resource of diatomite. Drilling and/or trenching is now justified to collect larger samples for further mineral process testwork." Shares rose 0.05p or 13.33% to 0.43p at 15:05 in London.PW
