Shares in Sunrise Diamonds rose on Thursday when it dawned on investors that the company was poised to begin drilling next week at its diamond project in Western Australia.Earlier in March, the AIM-listed copper and diamond developer raised £525,000 before expenses through a placing and subscription.Executive Chairman Patrick Cheetham said: "Following our recent fundraising we are progressing quickly with our planned exploration programmes."The company also revealed positive sampling results from its Strike copper project in Nevada where follow-up work is now being planned. Preliminary chip samples from workings and trenches returned values up to 3.14% copper over 1.8m and 0.70% over 6.0m.Shares in Sunrise rose 9.5% to 0.58p by 11:45 on Thursday. OH
