Speedy signs £20m contract with Connaught

Plant hire specialist Speedy Hire said it has entered into a five year agreement with Connaught worth over £20m.Speedy Hire said it will provide Connaught with tools and equipment hire across the UK. It will also operate a hire desk and acquire, under an outsourcing arrangement, equipment currently operated by Connaught in house worth up to £1m.Commenting on the deal, chief executive Steve Corcoran said, "We are delighted to be able to announce the latest in a string of long term contract extensions with a client with visible workflows and strong growth prospects."In last month's trading update Speedy Hire said business stabilised at the end of 2009 and has started to show signs of recovery this year.
