Smurfit steps down from Powerflute board

(ShareCast News) - Dermot Smurfit stepped down as a director at Powerflute Oyj on Monday, to concentrate on his executive activities elsewhere.The AIM-traded company's board said Smurfit had recently returned to the United States in connection with his role as chief executive of GameAccount Network."As a consequence of this, he considers that he will no longer be able to devote appropriate time to his duties as a director of Powerflute and accordingly, has decided to resign from his position", the board said in a statement.It said the board accepted his resignation with immediate effect.Dermot Smurfit had been a non-executive director with Powerflute Oyj since April 2010.
