Chinese natural medicine ingredients supplier Taihua hopes to complete negotiations with potential European distributors of the Paclitaxel it produces by the end of March 2010. There are three pan-European distributors on the shortlist. Paclitaxel is an anti-cancer ingredient made from yew trees that is used in treatments for ovarian, breast, lung and skin cancer. Taihua can get a better price for Paclitaxel in Europe than in China and in September it gained a European certificate of suitability for the ingredient. ZincOx Resources is buying Servestal North America's processing equipment at its waste oxide recycling facility near Detroit, Michigan for $4m. The equipment, which is designed to treat 300,000 tonnes of iron waste each year, will be transferred to ZincOx's site in Ohio. This should reduce the cost of equipping the Ohio site. Allied Healthcare International Inc has won a three year healthcare staffing contract with the London Borough of Richmond. Allied will provide up to 2,000 hours of home care services each week. Victoria Oil & Gas has drilled to a depth of 6,330 feet on its Logbaba gas and condensate project in Douala, Cameroon. A depth of 10,300 feet is expected to be reached by the end of 2009. The results of a passive seismic spectroscopy survey in the area are expected in around two months.
