Shell: Production To Be Back To Pre-Storm Levels In 3-5 Days

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES HOUSTON (Dow Jones)--Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA, RDSA.LN) said Thursday it is redeploying personnel to the producing and drilling facilities it had shut down this week ahead of Hurricane Alex. The company said output would be back to pre-storm levels in three to five days. Shell has also evacuated personnel and halted natural-gas production and drilling at its South Texas operations due to the storm. The amount of production Shell deferred due to Alex is 32,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day, the company said on its website. BP PLC (BP, BP.LN), Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) and Apache Corp. (APA) said Thursday they were in the process of resuming production.
