Severn Trent plans to drop Analytical Services business

Severn Trent, the water company focused on the Midlands and mid-Wales, has unveiled plans to sell its Analytical Services business.The firm said the business has over recent months become smaller and predominantly commercial-customer focused.It is anticipated that the sale will address a number of commitments that Severn Trent has made to Ofwat in relation to the pricing of certain contracts at the business.No other information was given. The news prompted the share price to fall 0.56% to 1,718p by 10:48.NR
