(ShareCast News) - Seeing Machines has secured a £1.1m order for its DSS hardware with an unnamed Zambian miner.The provider of operator monitoring and intervention sensing technologies said it has been considering a variety of clients over the last two years, but has signed with one of the country's "major players"."A lot of effort has gone into developing the mining business both globally and in Africa, and it's great to see progress," said chief executive Ken Kroger."It strongly demonstrates the viability of DSS business in Africa, and we look forward to working with both the region's Caterpillar dealer and Caterpillar Safety Services to extend the reach to more customers and to help keep their workers safe," he added.As of 9:30 BST, Seeing Machines was trading 0.5% lower at 5.4p.
