SDL confident moving into H2

Strong demand from its global customers lifted half year results at Maidenhead based translation software specialist SDL.The group, whose customers include ABN-Amro, Hewlett-Packard and Canon, said for the six months ended 30 June 2010 adjusted pre-tax profit rose to £16.3m from £14.5m the year before. Revenue was up 13% to £94.5m.SDL said it feels confident moving into the second half of 2010 and beyond.SDL, which bought US technology firm Language Weaver earlier this month, its second acquisition in the past year, said it expects to continue to outperform in its market sectors."We feel confident moving into the second half of 2010 and beyond, that our strategy and execution will continue to deliver growth and stability," it said in a statement.
