Translation and communications software firm SDL has acquired mobile web solutions company bemoko, to enhance its existing capabilities to deliver dynamic content to any device. bemoko, which was founded in 2007, delivers omni-channel web technology and has delivered award-winning mobile and multi-channel web solutions for large brands in the US and has helped major UK brands and charities integrate mobile into their sales and marketing strategies. "Combined, SDL and bemoko will deliver the most progressive omni-channel web content delivery platform available - way ahead of anything else available in the market," the Managing Director of bemoko said. No financial details of the transaction were announced. "Delivery of content is rapidly becoming more and more complex and yet most of the current methodologies are just not capable of keeping pace. Most technology vendors are still grappling with mobile, using bolt-ons to deal with screen-size. Omni-Channel is the next generation of content delivery, and the notion of 'One Web' is a radical transformation in digital engagement," said Mark Lancaster, the Chief Executive Officer of SDL. NR
