DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Spain's Banco Santander SA (SAN.MC) is preparing to list its U.K. operations this fall on the London Stock Exchange as it seeks to finance a deal to buy 318 U.K. branches from Royal Bank of Scotland PLC (RBS), the Financial Times reports Wednesday on its website. The bank wants to sell 20% of Santander UK through the listing, if market conditions permit, the newspaper cites people close to the bank as saying. The deal could be worth GPB3 billion, according to estimates cited in the report.
