Sales for both Ffastfill and National Grid directors

The Corporate Development Director of Ffastfill, has sold 1.383m shares in the firm just a fortnight after the company posted a drop in pre-tax profits. Nigel Hartnell ditched the shares for 13.50p a pop, pocketing £186,705 in the process. Revenue for the full year rose from £15.5m to £17.2m, but after a rise in both the cost of sales and operating expenses, pre-tax profit came in at £0.6m (2012: £1.8m). The company said it has been a "good year" and said that it has made "a number of very important advances". The company has started the financial year with a healthy order book and is focused on driving profitable growth. "Whilst it is still early in the financial year, the strength of our order book and the success delivered this year combine to underpin our expectations for the financial year ahead and we look forward to a year of further financial and operational progress," the firm said. Tom King, the Executive Director of utilities giant National Grid sold 20,000 shares in the firm last week, earning the 47-year-old £131,904.The shares were actually sold as American Depository Shares, at $51.13 each (659.52p per UK share). King retains a total interest in 267,067 National Grid American Depository Shares.
