Sagentia names new Finance Director

Sagentia, the technology and product development services company, announced on Monday the appointment of a new Finance Director.Rebecca Hempsted was appointed Finance Director and was to replace Neil Elton, with effect from today.Hempsted, who is a chartered accountant and has a physics degree from Oxford University, was a business finance partner for the managed services business of Royal Mail.Elton also resigned from the Board, with effect from February 14th.After three year at the company Hempsted's predecessor was leaving his post to "pursue a new challenge."Elton was to remain on the board until the date mentioned to ensure an orderly handover. The company was founded in 1986 by Cambridge professor Gordon Edge and is now listed on Alternative Investment Market (AIM).As of 10:59 the shares were lower by 1.35% at 146p. WS
