(Sharecast News) - Safeland has acquired North Downs Golf Club in Woldingham, Surrey, an 18-hole golf course with a 664 square metre clubhouse together with a golf shop and reception.The AIM-listed property firm dropped a total of £1.06m in cash on the freehold property - funded entirely from the company's existing cash resources.Safeland said it intends to invest in developing the club's existing facilities in order to enhance its appeal to both existing and new members.Managing director Larry Lipman, said: "This is a very well located leisure asset with significant potential to upgrade and improve upon the current infrastructure. We look forward to working with the North Downs management team to develop the Club's potential."As of 1000 BST, Safeland shares had picked up 1.08% to 47p.
