RPS exec reduces stake by nearly a quarter

Energy and engineering consultant RPS Group said Tuesday that Executive Director, Phil Williams, had that day traded in 100,000 shares, reducing his stake to 318,439. Williams earned £289,500 from the sale, which comes just one week after the FTSE 250 company treated investors to a third quarter update bubbling with optimism due to strong energy demand and a nascent recovery in its Australian markets.The group also said it remained on track to meet current market expectations for the full year. However, RPS admitted the weaker Australian dollar would have an impact on results, although stressed its cost cutting made over the last year will enable it to benefit from growth as it develops.Looking further forward, Chairman Brook Land predicted "significantly improved trading" in 2014 due to acquisitions and internal investments made earlier this year.Top Director BuysSymphony International Holdings Ltd.
