Rotala has purchased the business, brand and coach fleet of Wings Luxury Travel for £1.5m.The acquisition is expected to generate around £0.4m of positive goodwill on consolidation, bus services provider Rotala said. The Wings business generated revenue of around £1.9m and pre-tax profit of £0.09m in the year ended November 2014.Rotala will transfer the fleet of 17 coaches and around 20 member of staff to its depot at Heathrow Airport."Following the recent end of the company's long-standing contract with British Airways, there is ample capacity at this depot to absorb the Wings fleet and personnel," the firm said. The deal will not have a material impact on earnings in the current financial year, but the company anticipates that the acquisition will have a beneficial effect on earnings in future years once the integration of operations and overheads is fully implemented, which is expected by the end of the year.
