Jet engine maker Rolls-Royce has announced an order for its Trent 1000 engines from Nordic airline Norwegian, although it said it had already included the sales in its order book.Norwegian has chosen the Derby-made engines to power nine extra leased Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, bringing the total number of Norwegian's Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787 Dreamliners to 17.The airline has also ordered long-term service support for engines powering the nine aircraft, worth $440m.Norwegian's chief operating officer Tore Jenssen said: "We have been very pleased with the Trent 1000 in-service performance and we look forward in particular to operating the Trent 1000-TEN engine which will set new standards."
