Revenue growth eases at Dignity

Acquisitive funeral services provider Dignity said its businesses continue to trade in line with management expectations. The group, which has acquired seven funeral locations and five crematoria sicne the start of the year, saw revenue rise 5% to £137.3m in the 39 weeks to 25 September, from £130.7m in the first 39 weeks of 2008.At the half year stage revenue was 5.5% ahead of the year before, so the growth rate moderated in the third quarter.Operating profit improved by 7.2% to £43m from £40.1m.‘Our expectations for the full year continue to be positive and remain unchanged,’ said Mike McCollum, chief executive of Dignity.
