Engineering group Renishaw has received and accepted an offer from Autodesk, the US multinational software corporation, for the entire issued share capital of Delcam, a firm in which Renishaw holds 1.54m shares. The sale would equate to a total consideration of £32m. The transaction will go ahead if no other party comes forward with an offer for software supplier Delcam at a price of 2,230p per share (which Autodesk could then match or exceed). The proceeds of the sale will be used for general corporate purposes and to support ongoing investment in the business, Renishaw said. Renishaw's share price rose 0.25% on Thursday morning. NR
