The boss of caterer Compass is joining Reckitt Benckiser as a non-executive director to replace David Tyler who's leaving for the chairman's role at Sainsbury's.Richard Cousins, who was also on the board of HBOS during the credit crisis, will take up his role at the household products firm on 1 October.The 50-year-old became chief executive at Compass, the world's largest catering firm, when Mike Bailey left in May 2006.'The board is delighted that Richard has agreed to join us. He will bring a wealth of international management and commercial business experience to the board,' said Reckitt chairman Adrian Bellamy. 'I am sure he will make a significant contribution to the future success of the company.'
