RBS reveals board changes

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Morten Friis as a Non-Executive Director effective on April 10th.Friss will become a member of the group audit committee and board risk committee.Prior to joining RBS, Friis was the Chief Risk Officer of the Royal Bank of Canada. RBS has also announced that Anthony Di Iorio will step down from the board on March 26th.Phillip Hampton, Chairman, said: "I am delighted that Morten has agreed to join our board. He has recently retired as Chief Risk Officer of Royal Bank of Canada. Having spent 34 years in the financial services industry he brings a broad and deep knowledge of banking, in addition to his strong technical knowledge of risk in all its aspects relating to a universal bank." As of 14:35 the share price had dropped -0.8% to 331.6%p.WS
