Soap maker PZ Cussons said its full year trading outlook remains positive and is in line with company expectations despite challenging trading conditions in some territories and rising input costs.The maker of Carex hand soap said trading in Europe and Asia has been strong. "In the UK, revenue and profits have continued to grow despite challenging trading conditions in the supermarkets which continue to operate with high levels of promotional activity," the group explained. Poland has continued to perform well and, despite the challenging economic conditions in Greece, revenue and profitability have been maintained at prior year levels, it added.PZ Cusson's performance in Australia, Indonesia and The Middle East has been strong with revenue and profits ahead of the year before. Meanwhile trading in Nigeria, one of its main markets, has continued to improve across Personal Care, Home Care and Electricals with overall profitability ahead of the prior year. The group said Nigeria's squeeze on lending has eased and the political environment remains stable.Strong cashflow is also expected to continue for the remainder of the year.
