PZ Cussons happy enough

Imperial Leather soap maker PZ Cussons will post in-line numbers for the year to May 2009 with good growth in both the UK and Nigeria despite the tough economic backdrop.Nigeria has been less impacted by the global recession and is benefiting from oil prices rising again, Cussons added. Trading across its Personal Care, Home Care and Electricals divisions has been strong. The Nutrition joint venture continues to progress well ahead of the commissioning of the new UHT factory later this month, it added.In other markets, trading overall has been in line with expectations, the statement said.Cussons added that its £26m Personal Wash Centre of Excellence in the UK was completed in March and is fully operational.
