Prudential's UK and Europe head Jackie Hunt steps down

(ShareCast News) - Jackie Hunt will step down as chief executive of Prudential UK & Europe with immediate effect. The FTSE 100 insurer said group investment director John Foley will fill the role alongside his current duties until a permanent successor is announced in due course.Chief executive Mike Wells said Hunt left the UK life business "in a strong position to continue to meet our customers' long-term savings and retirement needs while delivering valuable returns for our shareholders".At 1455 BST, Prudential shares were down 0.7% at 1,498.50p.
