DOW JONES NEWSWIRES U.K. insurer Prudential PLC's (PRU.LN) leading institutional shareholders have frozen Chief Executive Officer Tidjane Thiam out of crunch talks to debate his own future, The Times reports on its website Friday. Without citing sources, the report says it emerged Thursday evening that despite being in London, Thiam has held no formal talks with shareholders this week about the future management of the company. Instead, shareholders have specifically called for meetings with Chairman Harvey McGrath and James Ross, the senior independent director, The Times says. Ross told shareholders at the group's annual meeting Monday that both McGrath and Thiam have the full support of the Prudential board.
