(ShareCast News) - Mobile commerce company Proxama has appointed its chief financial officer John Kennedy as interim chief executive until a new CEO is found.Following the resignation of Neil Garner from the role of chief executive in May, Kennedy will fill the vacancy until the group finds a long-term successor.Chairman David Bailey said: "As a board we are very pleased that John has stepped in to take on the CEO role during what is a very important period for the company when both the proximity marketing and payment divisions are securing new commercial contracts."Neil Garner will remain on the board leading the strategic development of new technologies, products and partnerships."He has been instrumental in making these management changes for the greater good of the company and he will continue to play a key role in the future development of the business," the chairman said.Shares fell 5.88% to 1.6p on Wednesday at 14:16.
