(Sharecast News) - Engineering group Pressure Technologies revealed on Monday that it had tapped Nick Salmon for the role of non-executive chairman of the company.

Pressure Technologies stated Salmon, who will take up the role on 1 April, will succeed Roy Gardner, who will step down from the board on 31 March and will not stand for re-election at the company's annual general meeting.

Chief executive Chris Walters said: "We are extremely grateful to Sir Roy for his leadership of the board over the past two years and delighted to welcome Nick as chair, bringing his extensive industrial business and leadership experience to this important stage in the group's development."

As of 1030 GMT, Pressure Technologies shares were down 0.14% at 68.90p.
