Shares in AIM listed Irish zinc explorer Connemara Mining were in demand Wednesday morning as the company announced drilling results from its Stonepark North one.The company said results of a step-out drill hole at Stonepark North indicate presence of a continuous zone of zinc-lead mineralisation at around 200-220 metres depth, while a second hole, drilled some two kilometres away from the first, intersected zinc-lead mineralisation 400 metres south of previous drilling performed in 2008.‘These are very positive results from Stonepark. The Hole 32 intersection has almost everything one would want - high grade, the right type of mineralisation, shallow depth and is located a good distance from the earlier discoveries,’ said John Teeling, chairman of Connemara.
