PERTH (Dow Jones)--The Port Hedland Port Authority shipped 15.27 million metric tons of iron ore in June, according to an update on the Authority's website Monday. The iron ore shipments were up 1.6% on May's 15.02 million tons, the Authority said. Iron ore exports to China from the port rose 0.6% on month to 10.59 million tons, it said, while exports to Japan fell 0.1% to 2.37 million tons. The Authority doesn't provide individual break downs for major port users BHP Billiton Ltd. (BHP) and Fortescue Metals Group Ltd.
