Plethora's testosterone boost

14th Mar 2011 17:36

AIM-quoted sexual health products developer and distributor Plethora Solutions has added the pan-European rights for testosterone replacement treatment Striant SR to the UK rights it already has. Plethora has secured the rights from Columbia Laboratories and it will sell the product through its distribution subsidiary, The Urology Company, or third parties. Plethora will pay Columbia a royalty on direct sales and share the profit with Columbia when there is a third party distributor - which is most likely outside of the UK. The use of testosterone replacement is much more prevalent in the US. The UK market remains small. Striant SR was launched on the UK market last November. Striant SR is a tablet that sticks to the gum and releases testosterone over 12 hours. European approvals should be complete by the end of 2011 because the product is already approved in the UK and the product will then be launched in the other EU countries. Plethora hopes to negotiate deals with partners which may want to distribute its other products. The distribution business provides cash flow for Plethora but the upside will come from premature ejaculation treatment PSD502.
