(ShareCast News) - Plant Impact revealed a significant expansion to its business on Thursday, announcing the establishment of a North American division in the US, and the appointment of Mike Eade as its commercial and marketing director.The AIM-traded crop enhancement research firm said the new subsidiary - a Delaware corporation - would establish its primary offices in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina.Eade would be responsible for Plant Impact's sales and marketing activity, as well as for relationships with strategic partners in the US, Canada and Mexico.Plant Impact said its early priorities in the market were the final technical development and initial commercial launch of new products in the soybean and wheat markets.The company said Eade was joining from DuPont Pioneer, a division of DuPont and a global leader in seed technology and seed production.At Pioneer, he was most recent;y the commercial unit lead in sales and marketing for the Delta unit, which had significant soy, cotton and corn production.Plant Impact said Eade was bringing more than 30 years of sales and marketing leadership with him, and held a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana."I am delighted to welcome Mike to Plant Impact.
