(ShareCast News) - Online supermarket Ocado announced plans for a new delivery hub in Milton Keynes that will create 250 new permanent jobs.Based in Tongwell, the hub will span 43,254 square ft and will be home to 111 Ocado vans when it opens on 11 November 2015.The opening is part of the retailer's continued expansion amid rising consumer demand and a boom in online grocery shopping.Ocado, which announced a pre-tax profit of £7m for the first half of this year, serves more than 471,000 customers across the UK.Bank of America Merrill Lynch said the news was a small positive for the company and at 1315 BST, Ocado shares were up 2.9% at 338.10p.
