New non-exec at Barclays buys again

Reuben Jeffery III, a non-executive director of UK banking giant Barclays, dipped into his pocket to buy 6,000 American Depositary Shares (ADS) at an average price of $22.8398 per ADS. Each ADS represent four ordinary shares in Barclays.The total cost of the purchase to Jeffery was £82,762 and brings his holding up to 6,500 ADS and 173 ordinary shares in Barclays.Jeffery is a senior adviser at the Center for Strategic & International Studies in Washington DC, and has previously served as Under Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs in the final two years of the presidency of George W. Bush.He joined Barclays as a non-executive director in July and was formerly a managing partner of Goldman Sachs in Paris.
