Morrisons trading director steps down

WM Morrison Supermarket has announced the departure of its trading director Casper Meijer.The company, one of the UK's 'big four' supermarket chains, said Meijer has decided against living in Britain as his family is in the Netherlands."We both believe now is the right time for this crucial role to be taken by an executive who will dedicate all their efforts to living and working here in Britain," Chief executive David Potts said.Andrew Pleasance will take over until a replacement is found for Meijer, who was appointed to the management board in December 2012. The search for a successor is underway, the group said.Shares closed down 0.99% at 200.2p each.
