Supermarket Morrisons is in talks with the fashion designer George Davies over a possible launch of a clothing range that will help it to bring its non-food offering in line with other supermarkets.George Davies' 'George' brand was launched at Morrisons' rival Asda in the early 1990s. He also launched Next and Marks & Spencer's 'Per Una' range. Davies left Asda in 2000. Supermarkets have increasingly been moving into non-food sales, helping to steal market share from specialist High Street stores. Sainsbury's has the TU clothing line, while Tesco offers the F&F label.
