Matchtech Group registered an 18% increase in net income to £45.2m in the year of 2014 against last year's £38.4m due to the recruitment of skilled engineers and technology staff.The specialist engineering and professional services recruitment agencyalso invested in infrastructure programmes and noticed a global demand for their clients' products.The engineering and technology recruitment agency said it expects results will be "slightly ahead of current market expectations" during the second half of the year.Matchtech's chief executive, Adrian Gunn, said: "The group has continued its track record of delivering year-on-year double-digit growth in Net Fee Income and it is particularly pleasing that contract margins have also again increased.""There remains very strong demand in the UK and worldwide for skilled engineers and this demand is increasing as the global economy recovers and manufacturing output rises," he said. The full-year results will be published in October.The company's shares were down 0.17% to 578p on Thursday after market closed.JF
