2330 GMT [Dow Jones] HK short-selling volume +12.8% at HK$3.565 billion yesterday, as percentage of market total at 6.4% vs Wednesday's 5.8%, indicating some bears stepping up bets amid HSI's 1.5% slide yesterday on below-view China GDP, Agricultural Bank of China's (1288.HK) weak Shanghai debut. Cnooc (0883.HK) led with HK$271.57 million, followed by China Mobile (0941.HK) with HK$206.40 million, China Construction Bank (0939.HK) with HK$179.13 million. HSBC (0005.HK), A50 China Tracker (2823.HK) rounded out top 5, with HK$139.01 million, HK$136.31 million respectively.
