Struggling broadcaster ITV will consider charging for some channels in order to improve profitability, according to reports in the Sunday press. The management will consider a pay-per-view package model for ITV 2, 3 and 4 as one option to boost profits, the Sunday Telegraph writes. ITV 1 would remain a free-to-air channel. The paper quotes sources close to the broadcaster as saying that chairman Archie Norman and new chief executive Adam Crozier would consider the subscription model in a wide-ranging "anything goes" review in which "nothing will be ruled out".Meanwhile, the Sunday Times is reporting that Crozier, the current Royal Mail boss who will take up his new role as chief executive of ITV later this year, is heading for a £15m payday if he can turn round the fortunes of ITV. The incentive scheme is designed to tie Crozier to ITV for five years, the paper adds.
